Apps

So Guppie let me download an app onto his phone that lets me blog without having to use the site. This means that I can actually see and use all of the categories and that I can easily post from pretty much anywhere. Thing is, it hasn’t been working for the past little while because of some unknown reason. Well, I learned the reason this morning: I was pushing the wron button. :/

Basically, in an iPhone, depending on where you click on various buttons, different things happen. In this case I just happened to keep entering the settings mode and failing miserably to enter normal blog mode.

Dru = epic fail. Yes, I know

So now, I can once again easily blog from my boyfriend’s phone. The world, due in large part to Guppie’s willingness -upon meeting me – to surrender his phone to me completely, is once again amazingly good. And I can blog about it with the greatest of ease, once again

Autumnal Challenge – Year Two

Wooh! So it’s autumn. Totally didn’t realize that happened. I’m a bit…

Life’s going really, really fast lately. I think that’s called growing up. I’m not entirely sure I like it >.<

But I'm bringing back the autumnal challenge which will run until I realize that it's winter ( lol – Most organized blog ever. ) in an attempt to keep the blog going.

The point of the Challenge: I will post something of awesome every day. I'm kind of going to cheat and just finish the drafts I have knocking about in the old dusty draft folder ( seriously, some of them are more than a year old. Gah! ), but I'll try to keep that on a second post of the day type basis. I really do have a lot going on in my life and I feel like my poor blog isn't getting any of the love. Maybe that's because I’m actually out and about and that makes it less than desirable to blog.

Or maybe it’s just because I’m so quiet since Krista left. Meh. Whatever.

Ironically, I started this blog yesterday, then saved it in the drafts and forgot about it. Like so many other posts…lol =)

Well, seeing as I’m still cleaning the dinosaur ( that’s a fragment from a different blog that I’m not sure I even posted yet ( I’m getting as bad with my blogs as I am with my videos… ) ) out, I have some time to blog. The Windows Transfer Manager is alternating between 99, 15, 52, and 48 minutes. So…yeah. I’m your for the next little bit.

To summarize: Autumnal Challenge = Starting today = At least one new post from dru every day until winter/she realizes it’s winter.

I encourage the rest of the blog to get involved. Everyone’s so quiet lately.

True Blood, Twitter and Stuff

Right so i finished watching Season 2 of True Blood and i must say i LOVE it! I can’t wait until Season 3, but It wont be out until next year which is a bummer lol. It seems it reopened my vampire craze lol, but vampires in this aren’t just pretty teen stars, they are hot, violent and pretty much darn right SEXAY

As for twitter, i know that a lot of you follow dru and i think you should follow me too lol my username is talk_play_love so just search for me and add add add ADD! hehe

I’ve got lots of photos and stuff to put up etc and i’ll defo put some on twitpic for you all to see.

Me and dru have been discussing a possible / probable trip for me to see her, and it soo exciting, we can again be together, blogging and making vlogs etc for YouTube. so yeah, watch this space regarding details hehe

I am Very Bothered

I found this poem, also by dear Simon, on a random site as I looked for I am Very Bothered. I love this poem. It’s so muchly what I feel so often – the desperate longing to be anywhere but here. The horrible tedium that has to be propelled with sick rhythm; strike a match, watch it burn. Strike, burn, die.

I love it.

What I wanted to say I was very bothered about is that I’m not allowed to sit downstairs in the hotel. Not because of any actual “don’t go down there” statement, but because Cathy can’t sleep with me gone. She’s terrified that I’m going to either get stolen, murdered or go back to some guys hotel room. Not bloody likely, now, is it? So far the only guy I’ve talked to this whole trip is Eric, who is considerably older than me and – while very attractive – granted me the strangest sense of freedom yesterday when we talked without hitting on each other. It was completely platonic and I managed to keep up the small talk, to keep conversation flowing smoothly ( which was also facillitated by our chemistry in conversation ) and to just talk to this person I barely knew. It was a beautiful thing. And it made me feel good about myself because I realized ( as I do from time to time ) that I don’t need to sell myself for people to be attracted ( in a platonic way ) to me. I can – possibly, at some point – just have friends. Without benefits. Just friends.

Ah, my difficulties do go on…

But I was looking forward very much to another night filled with conversation and happiness and no sleep.

But I can’t do that to Cathy. The no sleep carries over, you see. Of course, it is extremely difficult for me to sleep with the TV on…so I guess we’re even in some convoluted way.

My muscles are sore from swimming and walking and standing and climbing, but it’s very refreshing. I’m enjoying San Antonio immensely. =)

[ P.S. Happy Birthday to Cathy! We went to Chili's for dinner and made her suffer through the joy of having the crew sing to her. It was awesome ^^ And the food was amazing. I ate too much though and nearly threw up in the parking lot. I had a mushroom and green olive quesadilla, "Texas Cheese Fries" with all the meat off and a molten chocolate cake thing. GORGEOUS! ( I only had half the quesadilla plate. Which was way more than I should have. I even felt it. I was like...STOP EATING! But Cathy wasn't really happy with everyone and I didn't want her to feel I was wasting her money. ) Lol...I don't usually gorge myself. Honestly. :/ HA! When written in this context, that face looks like a bit of code.

And I'm wondering why we have the "Thoughts" tag. Was that one of Kris' additions? Peh.

And i adore the "insomnimanical antics" tag. That's crazy amazing of me. [ xx ] ]

 

New Theme or Extolling the Virtues of Ampersands…

The first thing you should do is click here. That is an absolutely riveting article about ampersands and their uses and origins. I actually drew an ampersand on my hand as I was reading that article ( well, two actually, in different styles. They can be seen on my twitpic account, here. ) and then, forgetting that skin has naturally occurring oils in it and that they were on the back of my hand, I got two ampersands on my face from leaning on the back of my hand while I was reading the article. >.<

In other, far more interesting news, we have a new blog theme. And name. We're "Across the Pond" because we are now populated by an half English, half American cast, and because we like to travel, etc etc etc.

LU! How will you be flying to Japan? Will you be going over Europe or over the US? Europe I'd assume, but still… You should try and stop over in Dallas lol. I'd come hang out with you for a few hours =)

The tagline is from "Lost[ !, ?, @, or + ]" by Coldplay from their album Viva La Vida. And I think it fits us all fairly well right now. =)

What else…?

Well, the pretty brown background is now officially done with. I really did like it a lot. But I love this one too. So, hopefully, things will go well.

I'm going to go kip, I think. I'm very drowsy. ( I'm still half sick, you see. )

If the DVD drive on my laptop still worked, I would watch V for Vendetta in bed and fall asleep =) I could watch it on my tv, but I gave away both my tvs and my dvd player. Hopefully Michael and Jon are enjoying them. Well, mostly Michael. He's such a sweetie =D
