Ho’kay, I said I would blog today, and so here I am.
Let’s see…anything big happen since last post to make this worthwhile for a reader?
Monday…nothing. Tuesday, I got my “you are now registered to vote!” card in the mail, but other than that, not much.
I had a crazy want to climb around on a playground since Sunday. Andy finally got to come out to Park Day again because of a change in his work schedule. Unfortunately, Park Day was moved to the mall due to threat of impending rain that day. The rain then proceeded to say “haha, y’all suck” and skirt around our area. Fail.
Got my latest paper back in my acting class. According to the scores and the feedback I got, this isn’t bad with Shakespearean monologue from Henry VI. Those things are like tongue twisters, my god. Next up is our Shakespearean scene, so I’m working now with one of my classmates on a scene from Comedy of Errors. Looks like it should be easy enough. Mom and I have been talking, and it looks like I’ll be staying here for college for the time being. I’ll be starting to go through my core classes in the Spring semester at NCTC, since it’ll be cheaper to get them out of the way there if I’m looking at getting a BFA.
More good news for Thursday is that the English translation patch for “Mother 3″ was finally completed by the fans and released to all, yay!! I can finally play the final game!
Normal bowling on Friday. I guess we needed a reminder on a few rules, ’cause we got the basic lecture again. Meh. Didn’t do bad in the games themselves. Hung around the lane with Tony and Sherlock, and then hung around with the Shortbusians after the games (rules, ya’no). I bought a Coon-Hat for the tail over at the mall afterwards, and Cap’n got me the dance cane I’ve been looking at for a while . Sankyuu, cap’n! *glomps* Headed out Friday night to the UNT costume sale that the theatre department was doing. Picked up a brown vest and a baggy paint-splatter shirt for myself, and got a slim-fit poet shirt for Tony for his ren-fair outfit, all for about $8. They had some other really cool stuff there, like this one set that I looked at in the Renaissance area, but it was $100. Damn. Almost got killed on the way home, but I’m thankful to report that the anti-lock brake system on the Neon is in full working order.
Saturday was just spent almost all at Liberty Christian for Godspell rehearsal. I’ve been promoted to be one of the two “dance captains”, so I had to get there earlier (around 12:30) to assist people with the choreography. After a half hour of just bouncing from dance to dance, the real run-through began. The cast went through the show for the first time off-book, and we didn’t do bad at all. Took a food and water break between the acts, as it’s become tradition now with this cast that we have a “pot-luck” snack every Saturday since they’re long rehearsal days. Finally got home just before 5:30pm, rested, and then garage-raved with Tony and one of our neighborhood friends, Zack. I’m getting good with free-hand lights, and it’s a great workout. Tony’s getting really good with orbing.
So…there ya go. Now I need to go pass out. G’night, y’all.
