College

Hey, it’s me.

I’ve been really REALLY stressed lately, stressed about everything that’s going on at the moment. And i know people are noticing it’s effect on me…

1st things 1st, it’s results day tomorrow and if i don’t get the grades i need then i can’t do the University course I want to do at the University i want to go to >_< and it’s something that i really really want. And to be honest, I don’t think my grades will even reach the level of my insurance choice. I seem to have little faith in how i did at the moment and it’s getting me low. It feels like that if i fail, it’s pretty much the end of my life. Well, my dreams anyway.

Secondly, Japan. The woman whose MEANT to be organising it when away for 10 days to work, which was okay. but then she took a WEEK off straight afterwards! She says ‘email me if you have any questions, i will reply as soon as I can. ” LIES… i emailed her like 2 weeks ago, and when i got a reply she didnt exactly answer my questions. I just feel like this trip isn’t going to happen. Oh and the school don’t approve of where we wanted to stay. which i understand why though.. but still. everything is messing up! I just want to give up.. do i really want to do this anymore?

Lu …

this is a video that a few guys in my Film class made a couple of months ago. I think it’s AMAZING and so should you! Watch it, favourite it and pass it around. It deserves it ^^

I was originally thinking about UNT but for other reasons. Photography is what I really want to pursue, it’s one thing I have been positive of lately x]

I want to get out and go!  I stroooooongly dislike Texas. Yesterday I got all their info stuff in the mail so I’ve been reading over that. UNT is an all around amazing college, I think.  I went to Robo Camp there two or three times and Loved it.  My Problem right now is ALGEBRA gah… =/ not going to happen.  I can’t even go to NCTC with out passing the COMPASS test so I can be a transfer student to UNT. I can’t pass the math section T_T  I’m studying….

I see so much life and beaty in photography, more so than I see in ‘Real’ life.  I love how photography speaks to me, the deep meanings, fun times, hard ships, and everthing else. It’s like “Wow… this would be beautiful perserved forever in a picture.”

*~Chi~*

Yes that is a Bob Dylan song, but it suits the stage at which I’m at now.

College is coming to an end over the next week or so. The 2 years went really quickly O_O I’ll miss it really, I didn’t do the worst subjects, i had a lot of fun taking them. My classes were awesome, there was a lot of laughs.

At University i’m taking a completely different course to what I’ve been doing these past two years, but i will try to use the skills i’ve learnt in the future. Probably combining it with my degree after university. In Uni i’m doing a Japanese Studies Degree. Which pretty much lets me learn the language, some of it for the second time. My first choice is Sheffield, (such a beautiful city), and my second is Manchester. I’m aiming for Sheffield though. I will get to spend my 3rd year studying in Japan Which funny enough, i will also be doing this year.

I’m taking a gap year this year and starting Uni in 2010. During my year off i will be living in Japan and attending a high school (Details have to be finalised i.e, date, price etc) But it is definate xD I’m really looking forward to it as I can see a lot of my friends there. Especially those who attend the same school, as i haven’t seen them since March and it’s sad :( I miss them. (Also miss you too dru ^^ ) Living in Japan is going to be such an experience, i’ll have lots to get used to. Like what to do and not to do etc The laws. the customs and the culture. It’s soo exciting haha I’ve wanted to go there for soo many years and now I can’t believe that its a reality haha xD

I will be blogging a LOT while i’m over there. I’ll be attaching pictures so you can all see what it’s like xD I will probably be making videos as well because my college wants a record and feedback etc to interest other students. Also it’ll give me a chance to use my film making skills from my other courses xD

I’ll keep you in on the details etc ^^

You will need:

1 tortilla
cheese
lunch meat

Take one tortilla and put it flat on a paper plate.  Take your lunch meat (I think anything will work but I generally use turkey or ham) and spread it over the tortilla.  Put some cheese over that.  Microwave until the cheese melts.  Roll it up and voila!  Yum yum.  You can also put salsa in it or dip it in salsa if you like.  Guacamole might work, but I wouldn’t know because I hate guacamole.  You can make two layers of meat and cheese if you like.  That fills you up more efficiently and it’s still yummy.

OR if your name is DRU, and you’re vegetarian, you can use a whole lot of cheese or several different kinds, and put another totilla over it, and then roll it up.  Yum yum.  Salsa!

So, yes.  Yum yum recipe.  And I call it a college recipe because it really isn’t expensive at all.  And so I’ll probably be eating lots of these next year.  Along with nachos and ramen.  YUM!

:Batman:

This is one of the little things that i’ve been doing at college recently, it took about 2 days to fully edit etc, by moi and Tamsyn ^^
WARNING though, there is some strong language in it.

Haha, as you can seeee i haven’t exactly blogged much lately..
’tis cause there is sooo many things going on at ze moment, however, i shall not tell you about them all because some aren’t are fullly worked out yet :D
But anyways, Media is super special awesome at the moment. We’re doing animation and i’m making a mini anime, which i will probably put on here when it’s finished sometime in the future.
This week we’ve been doing lipsyncing and flipbooks. For the lipsyncing, we took photos of us saying sounds and drew round them on flash, by recording some audio we could sync it up. Mine looks soooo creepy >.< haha

Also we’re making flipbooks which is always fun.. but no stickmen allowed hehe We have to be more creative, so i did a little chibi style girl :D I need to change the angle etc, but so far it’s just the girl saying hi, welcome. hehe

anyways, that’s all i can say about the epicness for now…. watch this space :D

I got an offer from a University yesterday, which i’m pretty chuffed about :D
It’s for Manchester University, which is pretty cool, because it’s a highrated uni.
I got a conditional offer, which means i have to achieve atleast BBB in my Alevels, which HOPEFULLY i’ll get.
When i go back to college in January I have to sort out my Japanese GCSE for June, my teacher predicted me an A / B :D
I applied for 4 uni’s, so i’m a little nervous that Manchester will be the only one to offer me a place :S
I guess it’s all about waiting and being positive …..

***WARNING! DOES CONTAIN STRONG LANGUAGE***

Okay one thing that’s really been pissing me off lately are those people that think that you can handle anything they throw at you. And that critisize EVERYTHING about you, your interests, your personality, your appearance etc (This blog will have hidden references to something someone said to me at the beginning of the summer)

For example, there is this one guy i know in one of my classes. He goes at length to make at least one jab at me every lesson and it really makes me angry. Okay, we all know that I’m a film student right and that i’m interested in Japan. So at college we have to pick a Director to write an essay about. So i chose Takashi Miike, a famous Japanese Director. I have a few books with him in that i could use for research so i thought it was a good choice, and well he is sort of my favourite Director. And this guy turns to me and goes ‘Oh you’ll never find ANY books on HIM, he’s JAPANESE’ i was like You racist cock! (Oh yeah, just to point out this guy is: Facist, Racist, Sexist and every other -ist you can think of.) So after all the little jabs he’d given me over the past year about the fact that i’m into Japan, i flipped right then and there, we were in the library at the time :S I really got angry, and i mean it REALLY ANGRY. I was almost shouting. After i stormed off in a huff he came over and apologized, which was nice of him. But the jabs haven’t stopped at all. There were atleast 2 today i think, no wait 3. One was when i said that i liked Cinema Paradiso, but i didn’t really get into it until later on, and he goes ‘Well, it’s a much better film than the films you watch, like Audition, that’s crap.’ HELLO!!! YOU HAVEN’T EVEN FUCKING SEEN IT YOU ARSE! I went off on one saying ‘Well you know, i liked that film, everyone has different tastes! There was NO NEED for you to say that!’ and he just laughed. >.< I FUCKING HATE HIM

He’s not the only one that says things like that, and it really gets to me. Some of my family do it aswell and i hate it.

SO WHAT if i like Japan, LOADS of people do
SO WHAT if i listen to Japanese music, LOADS of the stuff i listen to is ENGLISH aswell
SO WHAT if i’m learning Japanese, It’s GOOD to know another language
SO WHAT if i watch Japanese films, makes a change from the CLICHE and POPULAR UK and US films
SO WHAT if i have Japanese friends, they’re more POLITE and NICE than some people i know
NOT EVERYTHING I LIKE IS RELATED TO JAPAN. SO WILL YOU LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE ABOUT IT!!!!!

*cough* Just wanted to get that off my chest. hehe

Ho’kay, I said I would blog today, and so here I am.

Let’s see…anything big happen since last post to make this worthwhile for a reader?

Monday…nothing. Tuesday, I got my “you are now registered to vote!” card in the mail, but other than that, not much.

I had a crazy want to climb around on a playground since Sunday. Andy finally got to come out to Park Day again because of a change in his work schedule. Unfortunately, Park Day was moved to the mall due to threat of impending rain that day. The rain then proceeded to say “haha, y’all suck” and skirt around our area. Fail.

Got my latest paper back in my acting class. According to the scores and the feedback I got, this isn’t bad with Shakespearean monologue from Henry VI. Those things are like tongue twisters, my god. Next up is our Shakespearean scene, so I’m working now with one of my classmates on a scene from Comedy of Errors. Looks like it should be easy enough. Mom and I have been talking, and it looks like I’ll be staying here for college for the time being. I’ll be starting to go through my core classes in the Spring semester at NCTC, since it’ll be cheaper to get them out of the way there if I’m looking at getting a BFA.

More good news for Thursday is that the English translation patch for “Mother 3″ was finally completed by the fans and released to all, yay!! I can finally play the final game!

Normal bowling on Friday. I guess we needed a reminder on a few rules, ’cause we got the basic lecture again. Meh. Didn’t do bad in the games themselves. Hung around the lane with Tony and Sherlock, and then hung around with the Shortbusians after the games (rules, ya’no). I bought a Coon-Hat for the tail over at the mall afterwards, and Cap’n got me the dance cane I’ve been looking at for a while . Sankyuu, cap’n! *glomps* Headed out Friday night to the UNT costume sale that the theatre department was doing. Picked up a brown vest and a baggy paint-splatter shirt for myself, and got a slim-fit poet shirt for Tony for his ren-fair outfit, all for about $8. They had some other really cool stuff there, like this one set that I looked at in the Renaissance area, but it was $100. Damn. Almost got killed on the way home, but I’m thankful to report that the anti-lock brake system on the Neon is in full working order.

Saturday was just spent almost all at Liberty Christian for Godspell rehearsal. I’ve been promoted to be one of the two “dance captains”, so I had to get there earlier (around 12:30) to assist people with the choreography. After a half hour of just bouncing from dance to dance, the real run-through began. The cast went through the show for the first time off-book, and we didn’t do bad at all. Took a food and water break between the acts, as it’s become tradition now with this cast that we have a “pot-luck” snack every Saturday since they’re long rehearsal days. Finally got home just before 5:30pm, rested, and then garage-raved with Tony and one of our neighborhood friends, Zack. I’m getting good with free-hand lights, and it’s a great workout. Tony’s getting really good with orbing.

So…there ya go. Now I need to go pass out. G’night, y’all.
